Our Mission
To honor those men and women that have made a significant contribution to the game of fast-pitch softball through playing, umpiring, or sponsoring teams and those persons have given back to the game through their contributions and talents.
OUR STORY
The Greater Des Moines Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame was started in 1970. It was formed to honor those players, umpires and sponsors that excelled at the highest level, promoted the game, and gave back to the game through their time, talents and abilities. Our initial home for the HOF was LaPizza House located on SE 14th St in Des Moines. When the LaPizza House was closed in 2010, The HOF was forced to relocate the HOF and memorabilia to The Hilltop Restaurant at 29th and Hubbell in Des Moines. In 2022, the Hilltop Restaurant was sold and the new ownership did not share the same vision for having the HOF display in the restaurant.
Currently the Greater Des Moines HOF is looking for a new home to display the many artifacts, memorabilia, photos of our HOF members.
